After activating your WFU Dropbox Account, you can access your Dropbox data from within your web browser or on your computer using the Desktop Client. Installing the Desktop Client has multiple benefits including Smart Sync and Selective Sync. Access every file and folder in your Dropbox account from your computer, using virtually no hard drive space.

Before You Begin
A WFU Dropbox Account is required before installation.
Follow the prompts in the installation guide to create your WFU Dropbox Account.
Installation Instructions
- CLICK HERE TO ACTIVATE WFU DROPBOX ACCOUNT
- Click Submit on the Google Form screen to automatically create your WFU Dropbox account (make sure you are logged in to your @wfu.edu Google account).
- Check your @wfu.edu email for a verification that your account was created.
- Once you receive the email invitation from “Wake Forest University via Dropbox”, click Join your team.
- On the Welcome page, enter your First and Last Name, click to agree to terms, and then click Create account. WFU Dropbox accounts use Google Single Sign-On for authentication, so you will never have to enter a password directly into a Dropbox login screen.
- Now that your Dropbox account is fully created, click Download Dropbox for desktop.
- Locate the downloaded installer and complete the normal installation steps.
- Once Dropbox for Desktop is installed, you will be presented with the Set Up Dropbox window. In the Email field, type in your @wfu.edu email address. Do not click the Sign in with Google button. While we use Google Single Sign-On, this button is used for non-business accounts.
- Dropbox will recognize that your account is linked with Google Single Sign-On when you enter your email address. Click Get your link code.
- In your browser, you will be directed to a Dropbox page that provides you with a randomized link code. Highlight and copy that provided link code.
- In the Set Up Dropbox window, click Paste, and Submit.
- Click Continue.
- Click Open Dropbox folder. You are now fully installed and can begin to use Dropbox on your Windows computer.
- If you would like to install Dropbox for Desktop on other computers, click on the Faculty, Staff, or Student link at the top of the page to go directly to the download page and follow the installation process.
- Once you receive the email invitation from “Wake Forest University via Dropbox”, click Join your team.

- Within Security & Privacy click Allow.
- Click Open Dropbox folder. You are now fully installed and can begin to use Dropbox on your Mac.
