Student Technology Advisory Committee (STAC)
Reports to: IT Advisory Board (ITAB)
Charter
The Student Technology Advisory Committee (STAC) is an ongoing advisory committee that makes recommendations to Information Systems on student-facing projects. STAC serves as the student-centered arm of the IT Advisory structure, falling laterally with CIT, the academic arm, and ITPC, the administrative arm.
Membership is open to any technologically-minded student from any of the undergraduate, graduate and professional schools. The Committee will be staffed by a member of the IS Client Services team and be involved in the selection process of student co-chairs from a list of self-nominated, interested students.
The STAC will meet the following objectives:
- Provide a way for Information Systems (IS) to engage with students on important issues;
- Allow students the opportunity to be consulted on areas that impact them most, evaluating current services as well as ideating future needs;
- Enlist student members to act as ambassadors to the student population, providing insight into how best to interact with and market IS resources and achievements to them.
