Compromised Account Security: InfoSec disables compromised accounts to protect the user. If an account has potentially been compromised, InfoSec will require that the user change their password.
Copyright Infringement Security: The InfoSec team investigates issues of digital copyright infringement according to the University’s Copyright Policy.
Phishing Security: The InfoSec team investigates potential phishing emails and helps block phishing emails.
Security Awareness and Training: The InfoSec Team also operates KnowBe4, the phishing and cybersecurity training platform that is available for all Wake Forest faculty and staff. Cybersecurity Awareness Month happens every October and includes interactive learning opportunities for faculty, staff, and students.
Security Review: InfoSec reviews new vendors to ensure information security standards and applicable regulatory requirements are being met. InfoSec also performs security reviews for Information Systems projects and servers. A request for a Security Review can be found as a Common Request in AskDeac.
VPN Access: InfoSec reviews requests for access to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) for vendors or contractors.
