The High Performance Computing Lab
The High Performance Computing (HPC) Lab is home to Information Systems’ HPC Team, located on the Second floor of Alumni Hall, Room 294, alongside the Computer Science Department, next to the central skylit lounge area.

The High Performance Computing Lab is easy to spot thanks to it’s large glass, garage door exterior wall. This is a collaborative space that features a variety of private huddle rooms and flexible, open work space for students, faculty, and staff to work together on computational research projects. The HPC Lab is integrated alongside the Computer Science department to encourage multidisciplinary collaboration.

The HPC Team has dedicated offices connected to the HPC Lab to help support computational research projects conducted across campus. Their are two small workrooms both equipped with whiteboards and large Video Conferencing screens for collaborative video calls. to setup recurring reservations in our two workrooms! The main collaboration space has a projector, two large monitors, and multiple whiteboards to allow for easy display of brainstorming, collaboration, posters, whitepapers, data, and videos. The main space will hold a variety of events throughout the year.

A garage-style door brings in natural light from the Computer Science lounge skylight and creates open and welcoming access for drop-in hours from 10-2 every day. When closed, the area becomes a quieter space for gatherings.

Students and faculty are encouraged to come in, touch down and use the space for work on their various projects!
