Reserve One Button Studio with one click at rooms.wfu.edu
Thanks to our EMS team, community members may now reserve the One Button Studio (OBS) through DeaconSpace. Created in partnership with Academic Technologies, One Button Studio is an automated, student focused, video recording facility located in Z. Smith Reynolds Library behind the Service Desk.
One Button Studio opened in 2018 with the goal of making high quality video recording simple. By taking the focus off of technology knowledge; students, faculty, and staff can focus on making engaging content for class projects, capstones, presentations, lectures, and more.
OBS comes equipped with a gray backdrop that illuminates with either green or blue light depending on what a user is wearing. The LED ceiling lights, microphone, and camera are activated when a USB thumb drive is inserted.
Once a participant is ready, simply click the button to begin recording. To stop recording, press the button again. Sessions will be compressed and recorded onto a participant’s USB drive and saved as an M4V with video and audio and/or an audio-only MP3.
