About Philip
Philip Howard is the Joseph M. Bryan Jr. Faculty Fellow in Banking and Finance at the Wake Forest School of Business and a member of Wake Forest University’s School of Medicine Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR). He developed Applied AI for Advanced Analytics, a course that teaches students the foundations of modern AI and how to use agentic AI tools to code, analyze data, evaluate results, and build more productive workflows for their analytical careers. His current research focuses on creating tools that enable agentic AI to help economists code and solve macroeconomic models. Together, his teaching and scholarship explore how agentic AI can expand the analytical and computational work that students and researchers are able to do.
