The IS Technology Accessibility Team, part of the Technology Accessibility Program (TAP), recently launched a new audio series, A11Y Audio. A11Y Audio provides accessibility resources for campus members, raises awareness on accessibility’s importance, and offers guidance on how Wake Forest can infuse technology accessibility practices throughout our campus roles. A11Y Audio content is shared multimodally in both an audio and text format to meet the needs of our diverse audiences.

Gold A 1 1 Y with Audio in smaller letters underneath. The A has audiowaves coming off the side and the Y is wearing headphones.

A11Y audio covers a variety of technology accessibility topics, including alternative text, color contrast, and keyboard navigation. Content will be added frequently, including interviews with campus community partners, allowing our site visitors to grow in their understanding and use of accessibility while engaging with our collaborative partners across campus. Most recently, A11Y audio interviewed Wake Forest alumna, artist, and TechX 2023 Keynote speaker, Meredith Mulhearn on her art practice and its intersection with technology accessibility.

We invite you to bookmark A11Y Audio and check back often for updates as we expand our reach and offerings. Reach out to TAP to learn more about leveraging the digital environment to collaboratively build accessibility support for campus.
