Using annotation, Hypothesis enables sentence-level note taking or critique on top of classroom reading, news, blogs, scientific articles, books, terms of service, ballot initiatives, legislation and more. 

Hypothesis connects seamlessly with Canvas and is already enabled in our Canvas environment. To begin utilizing collaborative annotation in your classes, create an assignment or module item and add Hypothesis as an external tool. 

You do not need to create an Hypothesis account if you plan to only utilize Hypothesis in Canvas. You can create a free account to utilize the browser extension outside of Canvas.

Faculty are encouraged to troubleshoot directly with Hypothes.is through their ticketing portal
