Apples with the M1 Chip are not recommended at this time

Recently, Apple announced their new M1 chip, which upon initial testing reveals high performance. As excited as we are about this new development, the M1 chip has known compatibility issues with Window’s-based virtualization software that many of our faculty and students utilize in class to run Windows-only applications, such as Excel Add-ons.

The WakeWare Apple options available for sale at this time will continue to have an Intel processor as we learn more about the M1 and finalize a solution for windows virtualization.
