Steps to save a report to Cognos, Google Drive, or Microsoft Share Drive
If you have lost the ability for Internet Explorer to download files in Cognos, it may be because Internet Explorer updated. Once updated, setting may be erased. To avoid this from happening, turn your popup blocker “Off” in Internet Explorer. In the “Tools” menu of Internet Explorer, select compatability view, and settings. Make sure wfu.edu is listed so the settings are not lost for during the next update.
Select which platform you would like to save the report:
After the report completes running in Cognos a job runs every 15 minutes that moves this report output to the WFU Google drive location you specified. This job runs in 15 minute increments starting at the top of the hour.
After the report finishes in Cognos, there is a job running on the Cognos server that moves the report output to the specified windows share drive location. This process runs every 15 minutes after the top of the hour.

The sample report output file is named Report_Errors-en-us.mht on the windows share drive.
The output format requested by this run was to HTML format. This file has a suffix of ‘mht’ which can be opened in your browser. Alternatively the report output could have been saved to PDF or Excel format.
