Setting up dual or multiple displays (Windows 10)

Follow these instructions to connect your Windows 10 laptop to a projector or second monitor at your desk

Press and hold the “Windows Key” windows key on keyboard on your keyboard and then tap the “P” key while still holding the “Windows Key.” Tapping “P” will cycle through the available display options.

  1. PC screen only – content will only displayed on the laptop
  2. Duplicate – the same content will be display on the laptop screen and projector/monitor
  3. Extend – the projector or monitor is a second screen, and content can be dragged from the laptop over to the secondary display
  4. Second screen only – the laptop’s screen will be temporarily disabled, and the desktop is displayed on the secondary display
