Mathematica License Activation Instructions
Once Mathematica is completely installed via software.wfu.edu, or manual installation by Information Systems or Instructional Technology Group staff, the software will need to be manually activated.
- By default, Mathematica prompts for an Activation Key – WFU uses a server to activate instead of an activation key. To specify that method of activation, click the Other ways to activate button.
- Select the Connect to a network license server option.
- Enter mathlm.wfu.edu into the Server Name field.
- After the software connects to the server and verifies access to a valid Mathematica license, you will then be presented with the End User License Agreement (EULA). Click to accept the terms of the agreement and then click OK. Mathematica will now be activated and you will be presented with the normal Wolfram Mathematica 10 Welcome page.
Note: You must be connected to the WFU campus network via on campus wired/wireless connection or through VPN prior to clicking the “Activate” button.
