DEAC Cluster New User Highlight: Nathan Whitener

The WFU High Performance Computing (HPC) DEAC Cluster facility was established in July 2002 to provide a centralized research computing environment for the computational research community of Wake Forest University. The DEAC Cluster is supported by full-time technical staff from Information Systems, dedicated solely for high performance computing.

Currently the DEAC Cluster is supporting 14 departments with more than 300 active users, including students like Nathan Whitener. We encourage you to watch and listen as Nathan, a Computer Science and Mathematical Statistics double major, talks about the research he carries out using the High Performance DEAC Cluster.

Future profiles are forthcoming as well as more information on the Student Cluster Competition (SCC).
